2011 W-2 Tax Information
2011 W-2 Tax Information
2011 W-2s were mailed on Friday, January 27, 2012. As part of UNC Asheville's migration to electronic consent for 2012 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements we have turned on the electronic W-2 feature via OnePort. If you have not received your W-2 Wage and Tax Statement or you need a reprint, you can now access this information on-line.
Here is how you can access your 2011 W-2:
- Click on “OnePort” on the UNC Asheville home page
- *Enter your User Name and Password
- Click on the “Employee” tab
- Under “Employee Services” click on “Click here to:”
- Under “Banner Services” click on “Click here to continue…”
- Click on “Employee”
- (If a Security Warnings pops up, click on “No”)
- Click on “Tax Forms”
- Click on “W-2 Wage and Tax Statement”
- Make sure the Tax Year is 2011, and click on “Display”
- In the lower left hand corner, click on “Printable W-2”
- “File” and “Print”
*NOTE: Please use the User Name and Password entered when logging into your workstation. If you are experiencing difficulty entering OnePort please contact the ITS Help Desk at 828.251.6445. Use the Mozilla Firefox Web Browser when printing W-2s via OnePort.

LIST OF PRE-TAX AND TAX DEFERRED DEDUCTIONS
If the amounts in boxes 1, 3, 5 and 16 of the W-2 do not match your total gross earnings for the year, that is because you may have pre-tax or tax deferred voluntary payroll deductions. For a list of these, please refer to the following link: http://payroll.unca.edu/voluntary-deductions
In addition, any deductions for TSERS or ORP retirement are tax deferred and are not included in boxes 1, 3, 5 and 16.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDNG 2010 W-2s
If you need reprints of your 2010 W-2s, be aware that in 2010 we transitioned from one payroll system to another and that the 2010 W-2s that are on-line only represent the earnings for 2010 that were on the Banner payroll system. You might need an additional W-2 for the part of the year that you were paid from Central Payroll in Raleigh. If you need reprints of 2010 W-2s, please contact the Payroll Office at 251-6665 and we will make sure you receive the correct information for the year.

NOTE: If you did not receive your 2011 W-2 in the mail, it is possible that the University does not have your most current address. Please send your current address to the person below depending upon your employment category:
